Salesforce Is the Right CRM. But It Won’t Work Without This.
You’re about to go live on Salesforce. Or you’ve been thinking about it for a while, and you’re…
Read →Compass is a managed operating platform for small business built on Salesforce Pro Suite and Microsoft 365. Here’s how the roles, editions, and software stack work together.
Most small businesses end up with a collection of disconnected tools — a CRM that nobody uses consistently, a shared inbox that doesn’t connect to anything, spreadsheets standing in for real processes. Compass replaces that collection with a single, integrated operating platform: configured for your business, managed by NovoCircle, and built on software your team will actually use.
Compass runs on Salesforce Pro Suite as its core — the CRM, workflow engine, and reporting layer that connects every role in your business. Depending on your edition, Microsoft 365, QuickBooks Online, Apollo.io, and DocuSign are added on top. NovoCircle configures the platform to the Compass standard, then manages it on an ongoing basis so you don’t have to.
Three editions — Orient, Navigate, and Explore — let you start with the foundation and expand as your business grows. Every edition serves the same five roles that exist in every small business.
Compass is configured for the five roles that exist in every small business. Each role gets the tools, views, and automations they need — connected to everyone else on the platform.
One dashboard across pipeline, revenue, customer satisfaction, and operations — without logging into four systems. Executive-level visibility into the business in real time.
Clean data, reliable automations, and user management — without constant supervision. The operational backbone that keeps the platform running correctly.
A complete picture of every prospect. Pipeline that reflects real activity. Automatic follow-up so nothing stalls in the funnel.
Every lead attributed to the campaign that generated it. Email sequences that run on a schedule. Scheduling links that connect directly to your CRM.
Every issue in a structured queue. Response time commitments tracked automatically. Full customer history available at the moment it’s needed.
Compass editions are additive — each one builds on the last. Orient is the foundation. Navigate adds Microsoft 365 and your website. Explore adds finance, prospecting, and contract tools.
$267/mo
The Salesforce CRM foundation. Every role in your business, configured.
Orient gives you a fully configured Salesforce Pro Suite environment — set up for all five roles, with your data migrated in and your team trained to use it. NovoCircle manages the platform on an ongoing basis.

Use cases added: team collaboration in Teams, document management in SharePoint, scheduling links tied to Salesforce, managed web presence.
$586/mo

Every edition serves all five roles. The difference is which tools and integrations are available at each tier.

Compass is a managed configuration layer on top of commercial software. Here’s exactly what runs under each edition — and who you subscribe to directly.
The core of Compass. CRM, workflow engine, reporting, email marketing, case management, and the custom app layer that powers role-based configuration. You subscribe directly through Salesforce.
Pro Suite required (~$100/user/mo). Starter Suite does not support custom apps. Compass will not run on Starter Suite.
Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. The productivity and collaboration layer. You subscribe through Microsoft directly (~$12.50/user/mo).
A managed WordPress website built to the Compass standard. NovoCircle deploys and maintains it. Hosting is held directly with your provider (~$15–$30/mo).
Scheduling automation integrated with Salesforce. Every booked meeting flows directly into your CRM. You subscribe through Calendly directly (~$16/seat/mo).
Financial data integrated with Salesforce. Invoice status, payment records, and customer financial history visible in the CRM. You subscribe through Intuit directly (~$90/mo).
Outbound prospecting, contact enrichment, and automated email sequences. Prospects flow into Salesforce as leads. You subscribe through Apollo.io directly (~$99/user/mo).
E-signature workflows for proposals, contracts, and service agreements. Document status tracked inside Salesforce. You subscribe through DocuSign directly (~$25/user/mo).
NovoCircle does not mark up third-party licences. You subscribe directly with each vendor. NovoCircle configures and manages the integrations.
Compass is configured using Salesforce’s custom app framework — the capability that lets NovoCircle build role-specific views, layouts, and automations inside Salesforce for each of the five roles on your team. Custom apps are not available on Salesforce Starter Suite.
This is why Compass requires Pro Suite. It’s not a pricing preference — it’s a technical requirement. Without Pro Suite’s custom app support, Compass cannot deliver the role-based configuration that makes the platform work for each person on your team.
Salesforce Pro Suite is priced at approximately $100 per user per month, billed directly by Salesforce. It is not included in any NovoCircle fee — you hold the licence, we configure and manage it.
Compass is built on Salesforce's custom app framework, which is only available on Pro Suite (and above). Custom apps are how Compass delivers role-specific views, layouts, and workflows for each of the five roles on your team. Starter Suite does not support custom apps, so it cannot run Compass. Pro Suite is approximately $100 per user per month and is subscribed to directly through Salesforce.
Compass editions are pre-configured packages. Each edition is designed as an integrated stack — the tools work together because they're configured to connect. You can choose which edition level fits your business, but the platforms within each edition are not à la carte. This is what makes Compass a platform rather than a consulting engagement.
NovoCircle manages the configuration, integrations, and ongoing administration of your Compass platform. This includes Salesforce configuration changes, user provisioning, Salesforce release testing three times per year, and support for platform questions. The underlying licences (Salesforce, Microsoft, etc.) are held directly by you with each vendor.
Yes. Compass editions are designed to be additive. Orient is the foundation. Navigate adds Microsoft 365, WordPress, and Calendly on top of Orient. Explore adds QuickBooks, Apollo.io, and DocuSign on top of Navigate. You can upgrade at any subscription renewal.
Yes — that's the point of the Compass deployment service. Compass QuickStart ($1,850) or QuickFix ($2,100) is how we take you from subscription to a live, configured platform. The subscription covers ongoing management; the deployment service covers the initial buildout. After go-live, NovoCircle manages changes and updates as part of your subscription.
You can buy those licences directly — but you'd still need to configure them, integrate them with each other, train your team on each role's setup, and manage all of it ongoing. Compass is the configuration, integration, and management layer on top of those licences. NovoCircle has done the design work for how a 5-to-30-person business should use this stack, and that design is what Compass delivers.
